Northern Crossarm Company, a third generation family business operating in Chippewa Falls, WI since 1922, is looking for a highly motivated individual to make strong and positive contributions to our pressure treated lumber business.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Processing work orders necessary to move product through various stages in production.
  • Ensuring the company’s high-quality standards are being met.
  • Learn and master the production activities in turning out high-quality pressure treated lumber products.

Qualified Candidates Must:

  • Possess a high degree of reliability.
  • Pay keen attention to safety and quality.
  • Possess a desire to commit to a long-term relationship with a growing and solid business.

Other Requirements:

  • Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts (will train).
  • Lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Problem solver.
  • Good mechanical skills.
  • Work well both independently and as part of a team.

Hours And Pay:

  • Monday-Friday, 1st Shift.
  • Starting at $16-$18/Hour Summer/Temporary
  • Starting at $20/Hour Full-Time.
  • Full-time benefit package includes 100% paid health insurance., paid holidays, vacation pay and potential for annual bonus.

Northern Crossarm Company, a third-generation family business operating in Chippewa Falls, WI since 1922, is looking for a highly motivated individual to make strong and positive contributions to our pressure treated lumber business.  The right candidate will be able/willing to learn our process and product and advance to leading a team in the shipping/receiving area.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Learn and master the shipping/receiving activities and process of our business.
  • Ensure the company’s high-quality standards and exemplary customer service are being met.
  • Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.
  • Process work orders as necessary to move product between the production area and lumber yard tractor trailers (Epicor Lumber Track Software a plus).

Qualified Candidates Must:

  • Possess lumber experience and knowledge (preferred).
  • Possess computer skills.  Knowledge of Epicor/Lumber Track is a plus.
  • Possess supervisory/lead experience (preferred).
  • Possess a high degree of reliability and attention to detail.
  • Pay keen attention to safety and quality.
  • Possess a desire to commit to a long-term relationship with a growing and solid business.

Other Requirements:

  • Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts (will train).
  • Able & willing to work in all weather conditions (as this is an outdoor position).
  • Lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Good mechanical skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills – Work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

Hours And Benefits:

  • 4-Day Work Week! (Monday-Friday, 10-hour shifts with 1 weekday off as determined by employer) after 90 day probationary period.
  • Competitive hourly wage is paid bi-weekly.
  • Full-time benefit package includes health insurance for employees ($85/month premium paid by employee which includes ReforMedicine Wellness Program), option for family health insurance as an additional cost to employee, paid holidays, vacation pay and potential for annual bonus (after 90-day probationary period).
